Some factors within my daily environment that are
supportive to me are my husband, children, mother, and job. My husband supports
me in everything that I do. When I decided to return to school, he supported me
on my decision. When I have an assignment to complete, he makes sure that our
children are not in the way of me completing it. My children support me by
being there for me when I need them to do extra chores around the house when I am
unable to finish them because I have many other tasks to complete. They let me
know that they understand when I am unable to go on an outing with them and
their father. My mother is my “ROCK”. She helps my husband and I with our
children when we need time alone. She makes appointments for the children and
is always there to take them to their appointments when I am unable to do so. My
job supports me by helping me provide for my family and providing me with the
things I want and need. My job also supports me by allowing me to leave
whenever my children are sick at school or whenever I have an appointment or
something important to take care of.
All of these supports are beneficial to me. These supports
have helped me to become the person I am today. Without these supports it would
be difficult for me to continue my education and my life would probably be
chaotic. If these supports were gone taken away from me, my life would be
totally different. I would be so stressed out and unmotivated to succeed in
life. I would probably drop out of school. I am so appreciative and happy that I
have a wonderful support system that is always encouraging and supportive. I do
not know what I would do or where I would be without them.
La Shaunda,
ReplyDeleteWhen I read your post, it made me smile. I am so happy that you and few of our colleagues have a husband to support you all in your life endeavors. It is not easy to find someone to support your goals and dreams; obviously, you have found that in him. I am glad you have loving children willing to do the things you ask of them. How special is that? I know pursuing an education is not easy; the fact that they all step aside to give you the space you need to complete your education, is amazing. I did not see where you explained what life challenge you would chose. Could you tell me what challenge you would choose and why? I enjoyed your post.
Thanks for sharing,
Lah-Lah
Hello Lah-Lah,
ReplyDeleteI forgot to choose my life challenge. The life challenge I chose is not having my legs to walk. I have an uncle who is unable to walk because he had his legs amputated. My legs help me to walk, run, jump, dance, and many other things. If I didn't have my legs, I would not be able to walk my children to the park, run around the neighborhood with them, do certain exercises, walk around my classroom, or dance. If my support team was not around to help me during this trying time, I would not know what to do. I would have a wheelchair to help me, but it is nothing like have someone around to help, especially your family. My uncle has been through my obstacles throughout his life because he does not have his legs, but he still remains joyful throughout it all because he knows he has a support team to help him during his time of need.
Hi LaShaunda
ReplyDeleteMy heart jump for joy when I read your post. I have a husband that is my rock, strength and main cheerleader. He tells me on a continuous basis that there is nothing that I can't do. The faith that he has in me make me speechless. I am glade to hear that you have that same experience. Shout out to your Mom for being that rock.
