Words of Inspiration and Motivation

"I believe that this is one of the most constructive, and one of the most sensible, and also one of the most exciting programs that this Nation has ever undertaken." -President Lyndon B. Johnson

"When we strengthen families, we ultimately strengthen the community. Our goal is that parents everywhere work with supportive providers, feel confident in their parenting role, and form strong, resilient attachments with their children. To help achieve this, providers must be responsive to parents, knowledgeable about child development, and eager to see every parent succeed." -T. Berry Brazelton

"The reason children were not succeeding had nothing to do with their intelligence, but had to do with the fact that they needed the tools to be able to know how to survive, thrive in the public school system."
-Louise Derman-Spark

"We as professionals in the early childhood field have an opportunity to shape a child's life for the better."
-Sandy Escobido

  1. I like your quote from T. Berry Brazelton, and it reminds me of Hillary Clinton's "Parent's are our children's first teachers." We as professionals are afforded the opportunity to pass this on to our parents and impress and instill them with this idea. I feel that most parent's have the tools its just some do not know how to use them.

  2. You chose great quotes! I really like the last two quotes. I truly believe that too many times children are not given the materials that they need to thrive and grown. It is our job as early childhood professionals to provide that for them!

  3. I like the Sandy Escobido we are the shifter and shapers of the children in are care lives. The professional side of our colleagues sometimes forget that its all about the test scores, state mandates, and not leaving anybody behind. However once we just go back to the passion we can shape the child's life for better.
